The Inaugural Day is held to welcome and induct the first-year students and to inaugurate the activities for the academic year. The student council is officiated on this day. On 26th June, 2019, The Sangam – Inauguration of co-curricular activities 2019-20 was held in the SSMRV PU college quadrangle. Amidst that, we had great, inspiring personalities to participate in the occasion. The chief guest, Dr.C.N. Manjunath, director of the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and research, A person who has made a lasting contribution towards creating a better world. He inspired us not only with his achievements, but also with his attitude and values in life. He was the recipient of the 1998 Rajyotsavaprashasti and the Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour, the Padmashree in 2007 for his contributions to Indian medicine.

Shri.K.L Ramesh, chairman College Governing council and trustee of RSST, attended the event. The formal welcome was done by the principal, Smt.Vasantha Lakshmi, whose presence took the event to another level. The Inauguration of the event was done by hailing the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom by lighting the lamp at the hands of the dignitaries. Investiture was conducted for Student Council. The achievements and glories of our students undoubtedly appreciated by a felicitation to honour them for their brilliant efforts in academics. Meritorious students were felicitated, and outgoing students spoke about the values that they have acquired during their stay at the college.
