ANNUAL COLLEGE DAY

In a befitting manner, S.S.M.R.V PU College celebrated its annual College Day programme 2019-20 on 20th December 2019 in Mangala Mantapa. It was presided over by the Chief Guest, Mr. Praveen D. Rao, a well-known music composer and Guest of Honour, Mr. B.P. Sandeep, a gold medalist from SAARC University and also a motivational speaker. Mr.K.L.Ramesh, president of RSST, and the Principal, Mrs. Vasantha Lakshmi, graced the occasion. The programme began with an invocation song to seek the blessings of the almighty and classical dance performed by our students. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. The principal gave the welcome speech and introduced the dignitaries, highlighting their achievements. The chief guest, Praveen D. Rao, and the guest of honour, B.L. Sandeep, motivated our students with their enlightening speeches. Meritorious students were awarded for their commendable performance in the academic year 2019–20. The best students were felicitated for their co-curricular achievements.

A college magazine is the amalgamation of the academic, educational, and sports events in the college, and reflects college life in general, as well as all the important events that are celebrated periodically and displays student behaviour in their academic as well as extracurricular activities. Our college magazine, "ANKURA," was released on this occasion. The annual report was prepared to mark the achievements of students and faculty members for the year 2019–20. The formal function of the annual day ended with a vote of thanks. After the formal function, a Cultural event was diligently organised after the formal function. The performances opened with a semi-classical dance. Various performances were put up by our students in the fields of drama, dance, singing, and fashion. The audience, comprising students, faculty, staff, and non-teaching staff, enjoyed every performance of the programme with great fun.
